Previous reviews of studies have often targeted specific populations or settings, or did not adopt a systematic approach to reviewing the literature. Therefore, we set out to systematically review the prevalence, incidence and nature of prescribing errors in hospital inpatients. The future of drug safety testing: expanding the view and narrowing the focus.
Drug safety remains a high profile issue at a time when the cost and time required to develop a new drug are at an all time high. Balancing risk against the expected clinical benefit is the primary purpose of preclinical and clinical testing. We offer an expanded view on the application of predictive strategies and technologies to early safety decisions and suggestions to narrow the focus for i...

Currently, vehicles use safety systems like airbags or seat belts to increase the traffic safety of passengers during traffic accidents. In the near future, most new vehicles will be equipped with other type of traffic safety applications, which could prevent vehicles from e.g., traffic accident crashing. The purpose of this paper is to provide an overview of these future traffic safety applica...
متن کاملDrug development: from concept to marketing!
Drug development is an expensive, long and high-risk business taking 10-15 years and is associated with a high attrition rate. It is driven by medical need, disease prevalence and the likelihood of success. Drug candidate selection is an iterative process between chemistry and biology, refining the molecular properties until a compound suitable for advancing to man is found. Typically, about on...
